IS THERE SUCH A THING?

Can forgiveness wipe a guilty slate clean?

Can forgiveness not judge, and start all 

       over again?

Can forgiveness lessen the virtue of 

Respect or integrity, after harm,vice or

       ill has been stricken

Can forgiveness keep the same feelings

       given?

Can forgiveness uphold what has been,

      without a change of heart, or

      creating distrust and suspicion?

Can forgiveness say, 'what's done is done'

      without putting to shame another's feelings

      after all that's admitted, and honesty,

      trust and truth are abound once more?

Can forgiveness ever forget a vice said or done,

       and still retain the same emotions without

any change to the way one thinks or feels in love?

Only unconditional forgiveness, unique in its act;

Can rise above all taints and keep love in tact,

Is there such a thing? 

Is there such a thing as that??
