A TOWN LIKE THIS.

This town is like time's stood still,
Even the trees look as if they're
having a better deal,
The sleepy atmosphere, you'd
assume, would make the folks
appear relaxed,
But no, they seem injected with
clandestine boosts of adrenalin...
as a matter of fact,
The young kids walk fearless,
proud and bold,
Shopkeeper's high esteem courts
a pleasant air, is a sight to behold,
I'd say it's all positive on the surface
Anyway,
It shows a quality of behaviour they
seem to live by throughout each day,
But a birds eye view can lead to a
false impression,
Endearments in dialect and some
different character traits often
influences subjective observation,
And when arriving on the scene,
To a picturesque sight breathing
hues of pastures green...
tapping the senses, ringing the bells
of beauty,
Not asking for gasps or praise
but giving a plateau for ones serenity
to be,
As the earth-lines hum in silence like
a secret serpent sliding beneath
the undergrowth pulsating, roaming
free,
It's a welcome relief, visiting a town
like this,
That regains ones vigour, fuelling
purpose, replacing drained energy
with an invisible current of vitality
that had for a while, gone sadly amiss,
