PORTRAIT.

Like a portrait unique in style and effect,
Looking at it taking hold; becomes personal with every gaze that is
set,
Bringing a flavour to emotions a multicoloured palate of intricate
shades,
The portrait draws one into its world and blends its colours into the
psyche as the image pervades,
Through form that is recognized as a beautiful face,
Illumined from the inside, shining without painted intrusion of the
outer world's pace.
I'm back in an instant, to the bustle and smoke of everyday,
As your face, smiling... gently fades away,
Until I see you back home, after work, at the end of  today.
