I SIT HERE NOW!

I sit here now, watching her sleep,
On the settee she slumbers
In her sojourn of peace,
Defying all what is around her
In her quietude,
The tv plays pop videos
Without sound coming through,
Where has she gone to?
What is her journey?
The dusk of late afternoon has
Her dozing early,
Inertia has taken over her quietly
This Sunday,
It's so far away from the distaste
Of Monday,
Peaceful!
A slight murmur in her breath
As she embraces, rhythmically
The world in her sleep,
A secret graced only by a courteous
Need,
In an underworld haven a place for
The free,
And love takes a back seat without
Fear, fuss or fret,
The coma sleep cradles no other
May tread,
She alone, can travel its nebulas
Depths,
And wake from the magic gently
Refreshed.
I sit here now, watching her sleep,
With dressing gown draped over her
As she warms the settee,
The tv plays pop videos with sound
On delete,
And the peace she exudes brings a
comforting endearment to me.
