Values are broken;
Infrastructure's brought to its knees;
Their future looks bleak;
Sibling rivalry goaded by its genesis,
Brothers they are, its written
But hate feeds their nemesis.
Is the conflict about the land?
If the father of both tribes, in our time were alive,
Would he be ashamed, would he make a peaceful stand?
Or sacrifice all for some master plan heard in his head
Commanded by oratory, partial slaying by his hand?
Would he see that his legacy brought hell on the land?
Deep conditions of traditional values are split,
led by the interpretations that one chooses in their belief system
so strong, that lives have been crushed, recorded in history's
spillage of blood, for what's written is right, so ingrained in the
tribal souls to preserve it,
So one voice respecting many other beliefs does not suffice?
And in the name of the highest truth, justice shed that creates suffering
to the innocent, is ill in any cause to gain, is in itself a crime.
And some may choose not to hear a survival call within
that the most high built this world for all men, women and children to live in.
Will it take divine intervention, like it's happened before,
to end one of history's hate filled storms of conflict and seemingly
misunderstood incessant war.
In depth view rather than overview - I think
