IS THERE ANYBODY OUT THERE?

When some folks talk expecting to be listened to
but find it hard listening to what others have to say,
When self obsession thrives on attention being sought  
seeking personal thunder pursuing nothing but self gain,
When a love tie is based on spiritual necessity, 
a contract to be needed so one's fear cements their stay,
When the truth of love hits hard exposing falsehood
That's when realization presents an inescapable face, 
relentless choices are made come what may,
living a lie in the glare of life's truth can be an unconscious waste,
And life lessons come merciless like soldiers of truth to wage battle 
having another field day!

                          Is there anybody out there?

    Like this Violet Flame - the last line made me laugh - the heaviness of the poem and then the opposite right at the end - good contrast
