SAKE OF GROWING OLD.

We're made to face the onset of getting older,
Our life course infuses the mind with mortality,
As cycles turn, advanced years seem much closer,
And the change, of leaving behind... is what has to be,
What was chased in youth... when old loses its luster,
Looks, health, fitness and zest wither gradually,
And acting as if young, cruising like your daughter,
Is maybe inner crisis from past make-up rooted deep,
Accepting what truly is, can be cold, stark and sober,
Still life has many treasures; anomalies there to reap,
Let beauty show out loud from your sweet nature,
Don't subscribe to wearing vanity others deign to seek,
Be ever young but grow with grace and wonder,
Know that, your sensuousness is noticed constantly,
No-one can steal or ape your natural thunder,
Because, you're one unique and precious pearl sailing in
life's incandescent sea.
